Well, my first marathon in 9 years wasn't as good as I'd hoped -- but it makes me feel better that I'm not the only one disappointed with their time yesterday.  I was on pace at the half-marathong, but by mile 17 my legs were shot.  Biggest lesson learned was not to wear cotton socks -- I think I was carrying an extra 5 pounds on my feet.

I didn't stay around long after the race.  It would have been fun to see you again, Sasha.  Maybe next year.  FYI, I've been running 4-5 days a week since January.  I ran the Country Music Half in April and my goal was St George in 3:10.  My next goal is (still) to break 5-minute mile.  I'll probably do the Country Music Half again in April and aim for 1:25.  I haven't been blogging lately (for 2 years) because I've found that 1) I spend too much time writing and reading other people's blogs, and 2) it gets me too excited, I train too hard, and end up injured.  My own lack of discipline.
